CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking a Database Administrator who will monitor, manage, and maintain our customer’s database. As a Database Administrator, you will serve as the focal point for all database problems and concerns that may arise, and will conduct periodic troubleshooting skills and maintenance.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Designing databases to reflect the need of front-end and back-end users
Creating stored procedures for application programming interfaces (APIs)
Responding to user reported errors in a timely manner
Monitoring systems performance and identifying problems that may arise
Liaising with database programmers and IT project managers
Ensuring proper back up of database is adequate and able to be recovered in the event of memory loss
Recommending changes and enhancements for database protection
Protecting the database from threats and unauthorized access
Maintaining an awareness of trends and developments in database administration
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Previous database administration experience (preferably PostgreSQL, MS SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or Oracle)
Experience with partitioning (splitting tables based on access methods)
Experience with data modeling
Experience with Structured Query Language (SQL)
Possess analytic problem-solving skills
Knowledge of computer software applications, including database technologies and programming languages
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented skills
Education & Experience Required:
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent:
12 Years of job related experience and High School/GED diploma
10 Years of job related experience and Associates degree
8 Years of job related experience and Bachelor’s degree
6 Years of job related experience and Master’s degree
4 Years of job related experience and Doctorate
These Qualification Would be Nice to Have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field of study
Experience implementing and deploying databases in Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with graph databases, such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or JanusGraph
ThIs Certification Would Be Nice To Have:
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
