CACI's Archon team is looking to hire a remote DevOps Systems Engineer. What You’ll Get to Do:
In this position you will work alongside our developers and Dev Ops team. This team is responsible for the architecture and development of software that comprise the Archon OS and Archon Gateway. Additionally, the DevOps System Engineer must be experienced in Agile Scrum or equivalent (SAFe is a plus) and able to implement best practices from past experiences. The role requires the ability to successfully juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent work streams based on Agile and DevOps for high profile complex Federal projects and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will thrive on the challenge and help the teams achieve and maintain software development maturity as well as satisfying security requirements unique to the products we develop and sell to our customers.
More About the Role:
- In this position you will work alongside our developers and Dev Ops team. This team is responsible for the architecture and development of software that comprise the Archon OS and Archon Gateway.
- To be successful in this position you will need to enjoy challenges that range from moderately to highly complex while drawing on all domains of knowledge you and the team possess. You should expect daily work will touch on systems (Linux/Windows/VMware), networking, client server relationships and communication, embedded hardware, mobile devices, and so much more. The outcome of your work will be to help secure communications of critical systems operated by our current and future clients.
- As a DevOps System Engineer your primary responsibility will be to help develop and support the automation efforts of our products. Including maintaining, deploying, supporting infrastructure and software applications that comprise Archon Gateway. Your job description may include:
- Dev ops support: You will be responsible for working with the dev ops team in development, testing and deploying solutions that support the products. This requires Linux skills (Debian/RedHat), familiarity with operation tools such as Ansible, HashiCorp Vault, Terraform and Continuous Integration (CI) methodologies.
- Developing automation scripts: You will be responsible for developing automation scripts and software that will help improvement deployments and operations.
- Integrating with third-party software: You will be responsible for integrating software applications with third-party software, including databases, web servers, and other software systems.
- Testing systems and code: You will be responsible for testing systems and automation code, including debugging to ensure that the systems and automation are functional and meet the requirements of the organization.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, system administrators, and network engineers, to ensure that the software applications meet the needs of the organization.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends: You will be required to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in automation methodologies, CI, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills: You will dig in and figure out why something is not working as intended instead of being blocked. You have a thirst for understanding the systems and code running on the systems to have a deeper understanding of what is really going on.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7 Years’ experience deploying and operations support of Linux, Windows, VMware
- 7 Years’ experience deploying and operations support of firewalls, routers, switches
- 7 Years’ experience with scripting languages such as Bash/PowerShell/Python
- Must be a US citizen and must be able to obtain clearance at the Secret Level
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
- Experience with monitoring and supporting systems 24x7x365
- Experience with dynamic routing
- Experience with configuring and supporting VPNs
- Experience deploying to AWS or other cloud providers
