What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forensic Analyst position at CACI?
CACI has an opportunity for a Forensic Analyst to join our newly created team in Lackland AFB.
This mission will focus on achieving the vision of modernizing cybersecurity functions to defend information systems and networks throughout the DoD Enterprise against a broad range of cybersecurity threats.
What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Cyber Forensics Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting detailed digital forensics, host-based analysis, including imaging, digital media processing, and memory capture and data log analysis.
Additionally, you will:
- Locate and identify digital evidence.
- Extract and carve files from collected evidence.
- Analyze intrusion techniques and tradecraft.
- Assist in root cause and attribution analysis.
- Identify, collect, and analyze relevant host-based artifacts.
- Maintain cyber hygiene of forensic media and analysis environment.
- Support chain of custody throughout incident lifecycle.
- Configure and utilize virtualized and/or forensics computer system environments.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Current TS/SCI Poly
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Cyber Forensics Analyst
- 2 years experience with two forensic tool suites similar to EnCase, Sleuthkit, FTX, X-WAYS, REKALL, or Axiom
- 3 years experience working on Windows and Linux operating systems as a System Administrator or in Software Development and IT Systems (DevOps)
- CSSP Incident Responder Certification
- IAT Level 1 or 2 Certification
- Global Information Assurance Certification Forensic Analyst (GCFA) or Global Information Assurance Certification Forensic Examiner (GCFE)
