Job Description

Team CACI has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Jr. Business Intelligence Consultant supporting a DHS customer’s wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) and campus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains. We are a seeking an motivated Jr. Business Intelligence Consultant to join our team to continuously implement dashboard and reporting automation, assist with project backlog, and achieve optimal support for stakeholders.

The contractor will work cooperatively, collaboratively and transparently with all associated organizations to support dashboarding, backlog grooming, and reporting functions. This role necessarily deals with highly sensitive information, and the role is expected to confirm to best handling practices.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The Jr. Business Intelligence Consultant will be actively involved with Dashboard creation for visibility into the USCIS WAN, LAN, Security, Wireless, UC, Hyper Converged Infrastructure, Server Platforms and alike.  Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative mindset and an eye for customer experience. Exceptional communications skills at all levels, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work effectively at all levels in the organization. Highly driven, results-oriented, out-side-of-the-box thinker and nimble problem solver with a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to deliver business value quickly.

You will leverage your ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal. You will connect with people daily and build partnerships with our stakeholders, while navigating complex, competing priorities to deliver outstanding business results.  The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

  • Works closely with team members and the work is not typically difficult or complex.
  • Helps to achieve operational targets within job area which has some impact on the overall achievement of results for the program. 
  • Demonstrates ability to think innovatively in their work product and solutions.
  • Responsible for making minor changes in technical systems and processes to solve problems. 
  • Identifies, defines and addresses problems that are not immediately evident but typically not complex.
  • Will have some experience in data analytics and business intelligence through the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

More About the Role:

  • Dashboard creation and configuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for accurate reporting
  • Attend daily stand-ups (scrum) and participate in core team hours as the product owner; includes answering development & testing questions along with prioritizing and refining stories in the backlog
  • Facilitate a strategy meeting with a customer to elicit high level requirements for a new effort/initiative
  • Participate in backlog refinement meeting, assuring work is prioritized to support overall BI vision and project team has clarity on near and long term goals
  • Assist with working sessions with a cross-functional team to gain alignment on approach for solving a major roadblock
  • Assist with stakeholder meetings to walk through a strategic roadmap for BI
  • Conduct 1x1 meetings with cross-functional teams to better understand requirements and reporting
  • Create engaging communication materials for a project going live soon (release notes, demos, etc.)
  • Research and reading on the latest development in the Business Intelligence world or Big Data Space
  • Utilize ticket and incident management system for automated delivery.
  • Ability to problem-solve, and think creatively
  • Experience handling, securing, and communicating highly confidential and sensitive information
  • Closely collaborating with cross-functional teams

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required
  • An active Entrance on Duty (EOD) is required to begin employment and must be maintained as a requirement of continued employment.
  • Experience working in agile project environment and solid familiarity of the lifecycle of analytic application development
  • Experience managing a broad range of stakeholders, including those at the executive level
  • Knowledge of one or more Business Intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy and Tableau
  • Strong understanding of data architecture concepts and knowledge of data modeling
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Organizational skills and the ability to multitask; Prioritizing assignments and working
  • Deliver assigned project objectives on time, managing stakeholder expectations along the way
  • Anticipate risks and manage issues; proactively seek and resolve problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter / independent thinker: demonstrated ambition to take on new roles with increasing responsibility with limited guidance and direction from management
  • Proven track record of driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem-solving capabilities and a willingness to do “whatever it takes” to deliver business value quickly.
  • Experience and familiarity with IT management products and services
  • Experience with networking, server, application and development technologies
  • Domain expertise with IT operations, security or compliance is desirable
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team Player – This role is part of a much larger team

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Relevant DHS focused experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, with preference in the computer related field, or equivalent combination of education
  • Other certifications are a plus
