What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at CACI?
CACI is in search of a Program Manager (Senior/Lead) to lead a technical team supporting critical software development activities for PM Mission Command (PM MC) and the Mounted Mission Command Family of Systems in Huntsville, AL.
What You’ll Get to Do:
· Manage and maintain interface with customer organization at project, team, and senior levels.
· Consult with customer teams to formulate and review plans and deliverables ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules, costs, and contractual obligations.
· Establish and maintain technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and Customers.
· Collaborate with CACI management and staff while overseeing the successful completion of all assigned tasks.
· Take initiative in identifying and acquiring potential business.
· Responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract.
· Provide direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
· Develop and deliver recommendations for resolution of technical and personnel problems and issues.
· Provide leadership, oversight, and direction for a 20 FTE contractor team.
· The Program Manager must at all times be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism.

Mounted Mission Command Family of Systems as an on-the-move, networked mission command information system that enables units to share near real-time friendly and enemy situational awareness information, share common operation maps and graphics, transmit and receive command and control messages, and conduct interactive communications via chat rooms. Within Mounted Mission Command are four Programs of Record, Software, Network, Transport, and Compute and Store. Mounted Mission Command-Software is one of three major components of the Army Common Operation Environment and will interface and share data with other computing environments.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- 15 years of experience in project/program management and leading technical teams
- Capable of planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract.
- Possess an understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in military systems.
- Possess knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of software and computer resources for Army systems.
- Capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.
Capable of providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
Capable of providing recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to support PM MC senior leadership with memorandums, information papers, white papers, briefings, and similar correspondence
