What You’ll Get to Do:
Are you interested in supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering (OUSD(R&E)) in support of their mission to foster technological dominance across the Department of Defense OUSD(R&E) has the lead responsibility within the Department of Defense (DoD) for synchronizing Science & Technology (S&T) efforts across the DoD, the Joint Staff and the Services to ensure the unquestioned superiority of the American joint force. As a Security Senior Program Analyst supporting OUSD(R&E) you will have an opportunity to provide support to achieve its mission.
More About the Role:
You will assist in the functions of personnel security (PERSEC), physical security (PHYSEC), continuity of operations (COOP), information security/operations security (INFOSEC/OPSEC), industrial security (INDSEC), and general security administration (customer support).
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee, manage, and provide general security function (customer support), including: Processing CAC and building access applications; access control requests; country and threat briefs; In/out processing of R&E personnel (civilian, military, IPA/Detail and contractor); Indoctrinations/debriefings; Security record management
- Oversee, manage, and provide PERSEC support in accordance with DoDI 5200.02 and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704, including: Run queries of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS); Pass clearances; Provide SCI indoctrination assistance; Provide guidance to R&E personnel as required concerning clearance information
- Oversee, manage, and provide PHYSEC duties in accordance with DoDD 5200.08, DoDD 5200.01, DoD 5105.02, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, including: Process and accreditation of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF); Certify of Temporary Secure Working Areas (TSWA), Top Secret Closed Storage areas (TSCS), Open Storage Secret areas (OSS), and Closed Storage Secret (CSS) areas
- Oversee, manage, and provide INFOSEC/OPSEC duties in accordance with DoDI 5200.01 (DoD Information Security Program) and DoD 5205.02 (DoD Operations Security Program), including: Provide guidance to R&E personnel on Classification and Declassification; compiling annual reports; Conduct Original Classification Authority/Derivative Classification training
- Oversee, manage, and provide COOP duties in accordance with DoDD 3020.26, DoDD 3020.44 and DoDI 3020.42, including: Assist in the development of Mission Essential Functions, COOP plans, and COOPR exercise planning; Maintain R&E Critical Access List and GSAF Entry Authorization List; development and maintenance of R&E “deployed” staff schedules
- Oversee, manage, and provide INDSEC duties in accordance with DoDI 5220.22 and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- One (1) year of experience in providing Security support
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Experience and mastery of the Microsoft Office suite of applications is required
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Master’s degree/MBA from an accredited college or university
