Job Description:

In this position you will be responsible for supporting the Program Manager in establishing a resource loaded integrated master schedule (IMS) and maintaining/updating the schedule for the program period of performance.
More About the Role:
- Assist in the development, maintenance and utilization of project plans and schedules to manage and report against customer requirements. Depending on the complexity of the project, these plans will address items such as requirements analysis and tracking, risk management, configuration management, project staffing, etc.
- Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with standard of best project practice
- Track, analyze, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports
- Maintain the program’s resource loaded Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and provide updates to the customer.
- Ensure accuracy of project schedules and performed version control
- Co-ordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of reports
- Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for control and integrity
- Monitor projects’ progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date
- Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans
- Create and track purchase orders, as required, to support the procurement and timely delivery of products and services required for each project.
- Ensure that bills of materials (BOMs) and/or service orders are accurate, approved, placed and tracked to ensure timely delivery in support of project schedules.
- Perform coordination of cross-functional departments to identify project issues, monitor action items, and work with the project manager to ensure resolution.
- Collaborate with the project team members (including internal staff, vendors and subcontractors) to ensure milestones are met on assigned projects.
- Prepare and submit appropriate documentation for customer acceptance of contract deliverables.
- Responsible for creating project folders on the PMO SharePoint for each project and uploading all project documentation to those PMO SharePoint project folders.
- Assist in planning/coordinating customer meetings. Support the preparation of appropriate presentations and compile/distribute meeting minutes as required.
- Assist the Project Manager in all areas of project delivery, and perform other duties as required.
- Consistent and reliable attendance required.
- Travel to other Locations or Customer Sites as necessary.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree. Additional four (4) years of relevant experience allowed in lieu of degree
- Five (5) years IMS experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project (Server or Online) a requirement
- Demonstrated experience on programs with responsibility for development and execution of the IMS, including setup, baseline management and update/maintenance, schedule analysis, critical path analysis, SRAs, resource loading, and CDRL deliveries
- 2 years’ experience supporting telecommunications network projects of similar scope and complexity.
- Experience with supporting matrix teams working in multiple location simultaneously.
- Customer interface experience
- General user capabilities of Microsoft software applications required primarily Project, Excel, PowerPoint & Word
- SECRET Clearance
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
- Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or an equivalent certification / work experience
- Experience with schedule health metrics (e.g., DCMA 14-point check) and Schedule Metric Analysis – such as BEI, CPLI, SPI, etc.
