Job Description
Primary Purpose:
The Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage all fabrication, preparations, construction drawings/IFC, permitting, surveys, onsite contractor work, quality-control and other duties, as necessary to be performed across all NPWS/PEP Modernization projects.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience with the installation of NPWS all-hazard modules and other shelters use by FEMA
- Familiar with all aspects of on-site integration work to include RF, power, SATCOM, fuel systems and signal integration with systems existing systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Task Lead to oversee and manage all onsite work to be performed under this Task Order
- Attend sites visit with or in lieu of CACI as requested.
- Facilitate and coordinate manage drawings, scope between consultants to ensure the bid package is complete.
- Review drawings for completeness and constructability.
- Review schedule timeline and sequence to ensure feasibility of schedule (must be logical and efficiency).
- Identify, qualify, and secure bids from local contractors for direct procurement by CACI Project Manager, Construction Manage, Subcontract Manager.
- Provide a technical analysis of bids received.
- Provide a cost analysis of bids received to help determine if cost are fair and reasonable.
- Facilitate one or more Pre-Bid Conference(s) as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the parties as requested.
- Collect and forward submittals and RFI’s to the Engineer for review and approval.
- Conduct meetings including design, kick off, site acceptance as requested.
- Participate on weekly calls if, or as requested.
- Review and monitor schedule (s) provided by the Contractor.
- Collect archive and forward submittals and RFI’s to the Engineer for review and approval.
- Collect and review safety documents, daily reports, images, certified payrolls, etc.
- Create and maintain a data base of project documents for access by all parties.
- Conduct on-site quality assurance inspections as requested to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Review and recommend acceptability of materials, methods and workmanship.
- Prepare a punch list and oversee completion of the work.
- Periodic site visits when, or if requested.
- Attend site acceptance inspection with CACI and FEMA.
- Collect and/or prepare close out documents as requested.
- Other construction related duties as requested.
