More About the Role:
CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking a Test Engineer with excellent software testing and communication skills who will operate as a Systems / Software Tester. As a Systems / Software Tester, you will be motivated and must possess the ability to perform independently.
Your responsibilities will include the following:
Ensuring the test design and documentation support for all applicable clients, the Sponsor, in accordance with industry standards, time-lines and budget
Ensuring testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test results, and project managers are fully informed of testing status and application deviations from documented user requirements
Preparing milestone status reports and deliveries and/or presentations on the systems test and evaluation concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end-user representatives
Performing analysis of documented user requirements and directing or assisting in the design of test plans in support of user requirements for software or IT systems
Designing, defining, and documenting application test plans and test reports
Designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures
Developing testing programs that address areas, such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability
Transforming test plans into test scripts and executing those scripts
Making recommendations, if needed, on test and evaluation strategies for major systems installations
Estimating software testing costs and schedule
Conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments
Documenting software defects utilizing a bug tracking system and reporting defects to software developers
Documenting test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards
Investigating the customer’s problems referred by technical support
Participating in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems
Coordinating with the customer and team members to ensure problem solution, appropriate risk reduction, and user satisfaction
Collaborating with customers to evaluate or diagnose problems and recommending possible solutions
Coordinating user or third-party testing
Directing and/or participating in all phases of risk management assessments and software and hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design, and test tools selection
Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
Visiting Beta testing sites to evaluate software performance
Other duties, as assigned
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance (active / in-scope)
Must possess previous testing experience demonstrating capabilities to meet the customer’s requirements
Candidate must have one of the following:
12 Years of job-related experience and High School/GED diploma
10 Years of job-related experience and Associates degree
8 Years of job-related experience and Bachelor’s degree
6 Years of job-related experience and Master’s degree
4 Years of job-related experience and Doctorate
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience utilizing automated testing tools
Experience with Jira
Experience with Confluence
Experience with GitHub
Experience in evaluating or recommending software for testing or bug tracking
Experience with installing and configuring recreations of software production environments to allow testing of software performance
Experience with installing, maintaining, or utilizing software testing programs (Selenium is a plus)
Experience testing applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure
