What will you do as Sous Chef?
- Works closely with Director of Culinary Experience to efficiently and effectively run the department within budget.
- Ensure resident satisfaction through a top-notch dining experience.
- Maintain all departmental documentation according to state and federal regulations.
- Assist in the planning and execution of all menus and meal preparation, department and family events and catering functions.
- Maintain inventory control of food, alcohol, supplies and equipment, purchase as necessary.
- Recruit, interview, hire and evaluate staff.
- Cover shifts resulting from call-offs.
- Monitor all food handling procedures.
- Maintain professional appearance.
If you have these qualifications, we'd love to chat:
- Positive team player attitude and love working with people!
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in food preparation.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife handling skills.
- Food Handler Card with understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
- Creative culinary and prep skills.
- Previous experience working in Hospitality, Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), Memory Care (MC), or Senior Living experience a plus!
