CAGE Civil Engineering is currently seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join our Denver team. At CAGE, our engineers are provided not only immediate responsibility but unlimited opportunity. As a Project Engineer with CAGE, you will have the responsibility to complete project design and coordination and manage client reports, documents, plan and permits.  You will also have the opportunity to guide, mentor and train the designers and engineers working on your team.

- Base Compensation Range: $70,000 - $95,000

A DAY IN THE LIFE

- Prepare, schedule and coordinate design documents and calculations for all site development activities

- Manage site planning, stormwater management calculations, preliminary and final construction documents, stormwater pollution prevention plans, completion of permit documents, and other reports

- Manage project communication with clients and build trust and relationships with clients through consistent delivery of quality product and service

- Utilizes time management and organizational skills to excel at project tasks

- Prioritizes projects tasks for multiple ongoing projects and provides deliverables in advance of the required deadlines

- Attend client/municipal meetings with the project manager to review project issues and pursue project approval, including technical meetings and public hearings

- Confident to attend project meetings independently with the direction and guidance of the project manager

- Coordinates with project subconsultants to obtain the necessary information for project design

- Continuously meets all deadlines, or informs the project manager well in advance if a deadline cannot be met due to extenuating circumstances

- Can adequately prepare a project schedule and include all necessary tasks to define the critical path

- Develops a team first mentality and devotes discretionary effort as needed to help the team succeed whenever necessary

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

- BS in Engineering from an accredited university

- 2 years of experience 

- EIT credentials (passing of the FE exam) preferred, but not required

- Proficient with CAD Civil 3D software and completes assembly of plans and reports in a logical order- Possess a firm understanding of engineering design for all aspects of site development- Focused, motivated, and results oriented

- Embraces teamwork approach and possess strong communication skills

- Must possess strong technical skills- Must demonstrate a firm understanding of project flow and necessary project tasks- Possess the ability guide and mentor junior staff
