CAGE Civil Engineering is currently seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join our Chicago/Downers Grove team. At CAGE, our associates are provided not only immediate responsibility but unlimited opportunity. As a Project Manager with CAGE, you will have the responsibility to develop and mentor junior associates, manage all project phases as a team lead, and manage all day-to-day client relations.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

- Manage, lead, and oversee all team activities including production documents, client management, internal team management, and project financials

- Increase overall effectiveness of the team by developing staff, aligning individual team member strengths with appropriate project tasks, and identifying potential obstacles (both internal and external)

- Negotiates strong contracts and clearly defines project scope within proposal

- Makes critical decisions to ensure projects maintain schedule and scope

- Consistently reinforces the CAGE Brand Promises and drives all aspects of projects to provide superior customer service

- Delegates project tasks to team members in a timely fashion and provides clear direction on tasks, expectations on deliverables, and establishes clear deadlines with team member affirmation

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

- BS in Engineering from an accredited university

- 7 years of experience 

- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred, but not required

- Must have a proven record of success as a project engineer and possess a strong technical background- Strong relationships with existing clients and internal staff members- Proficient in project design & coordination- Effectively delegates tasks (production and administrative) to allow for an increased focus on management tasks- Possess strong communication skills, critical thinking skills, and demonstrate a problem-solving mentality- Continuously delivers a profitable project with little to no assistance from other managers or superiors- Effective client manager; leads projects with intent to generate a repeat client in every instance
