We are seeking a full time Data Analyst to join our Operations team at CAIS. The Analyst role will lead initiatives by partnering with teams across the firm like Marketing, Product, Finance and Sales to provide them with the analytics and data support they need to make impactful decisions. The ideal candidate is a strong cross-functional communicator with a proven ability to solve open-ended problems in an elegant, scalable manner. They possess innovation, flexibility, and the drive to consistently deliver on mission critical projects with tight timelines and competing priorities. Responsibilities
- Support joint Operations & Technology effort to enable advisor insights on Alternative Investments in the CAIS Platform and beyond
- Become an expert in Alternative Investments and CAIS data and use your expertise and breadth of knowledge to drive data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with teams across firm to identify opportunities for process improvements, reporting, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance
- Prepare reports and business intelligence dashboards to effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
- Partner and work cross-functionally with business stakeholders to solicit, gather and document requirements and execute on analytics asks and provide expert support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of relevant Data Analyst or analytics work experience, ideally with experience in Alternative Investments and technology
- Experience working with large datasets in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrable passion to dig into data and quickly construct tools
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel VLOOKUP, INDEX and MATCH, and Pivot Tables
- Basic SQL & Tableau knowledge is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex ideas, break them down into smaller, sequential plans, while understanding interdependencies to deliver solutions
- Ability to build strong working relationship with engineers, business analysts, designers, stakeholders (internal / external), and other teams across the organization
