Job Title: Freight Broker
Duties:
- Manage and develop a portfolio of clients for transportation sales
- Generate leads and build relationships with potential customers
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with carriers
- Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations
- Perform data entry and utilize EDI systems for efficient communication
- Utilize AS400 system for dispatching and tracking shipments
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any issues or concerns
- Collaborate with carriers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Monitor market trends and industry developments to stay informed on best practices
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in transportation sales or freight brokerage preferred
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Proficient in data entry and working with EDI systems
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to transportation of goods is a plus
- Familiarity with AS400 system for dispatching and tracking shipments is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
