Responsible for aiding the Director, Environmental Services in the supervision and coordination of custodial services at Boys Ranch campus to include daily and special cleaning, special events set-up, and related activities. - Exhibits regular and punctual attendance
- Assists in supervising all activities related to custodial service, to include daily cleaning activities
- Assists Director of Environmental Services in supervising special cleaning activities to include scheduled cleaning/maintenance of facilities, and other specialized campus environmental services programs
- Utilizes an inspection and communication system to assure quality and customer satisfaction
- Maintains and distributes Safety Data Sheets to all applicable areas of Boys Ranch. Assists Director of Environmental Services with periodic inspections to ensure records compliance
- Preparation and publication of employee work schedules and establishment of work teams
- Ensures accuracy of, and compliance with, cleaning schedules through the utilization of building check lists
- Maintains inventory control of related supplies, submits supply requests, checks incoming supplies for accuracy and maintains related documentation
- Provides individual instruction and daily guidance to building custodians in cleaning procedures, safety procedures and related activities, as assigned
- Supervise room set-up of special events, as assigned
- Ensures that all equipment assigned is properly utilized, sanitized and maintained
- Supervises staff in, and personally exhibits, appropriate interaction with residents
Job Specifications:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalency is required
- A minimum of 2 years' experience with the Cal Farley organization is required for internal candidates. For external applicants, 3 years of custodial maintenance experience is required
- A minimum of 2 years' staff supervision is required
- Must be proficient in general office and custodial equipment operation
- Must possess custodial certification or be able to obtain within 6 months of hire date
- Bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing/pulling, prolonged sitting/standing
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required
- Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid Texas driver's license
