What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Maintenance Technician position at Calamar?
Calamar Connect 55 communities is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Area Maintenance Technician at our New Hampshire properties. This position will require travel between our Bedford, Londonderry, and Concord .
This position requires the Area Maintenance Technician to serve as the back-up and on call technician for each property. You will provide coverage when the assigned Technician to a specific building can not be there, takes PTO, and be ready to be on call whenever it is necessary.
The technician would be required to maintain our properties to be attractive, safe, clean and at the highest of operational performance. Achieve high levels of tenant satisfaction. Assures heating, cooling, ventilation, security, and fire alarm systems kept in good working order. Maintain, company equipment, vehicles, and tools in good working condition. Vacuum, dust and clean common areas. Perform general property maintenance including, but not limited to: replacing filters and light equipment, painting, plumbing, electrical services and light snow removal or landscaping.
Requirements:
- Basic reading, writing, arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through 2 years experience or a 2-year trade school degree or certificate program.
- Position requires demonstrated skill in commercial construction. Must possess accuracy and attention to detail. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Personal Characteristics: Organized, team player, customer service orientated.
- Driver's license required
