What are the responsibilities and job description for the SPECIAL EDUCATOR position at Caledonia Central Supervisory Union?
Caledonia Central Supervisory Union is made up of seven schools. The Special Educator position will be to work as an out of district case manager for students that live in Caledonia County but go to other schools. This position requires a lot of self direction under the guidance of the Student Services Director.
The applicant must be knowledgeable of special education law, complete and maintain special education paperwork according to Vermont state regulations, and work collaboratively as part of student-centered teams of special educators, classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, interventionists, and related service providers.
The ideal candidate will exhibit, strong organization and management skills, flexibility, creativity, and an ability to work well with students and parents.
