Responsibilities:
- Serves as a Documentation, Publication, and Tasking Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the G-2 staff and Leadership supporting the Staff Action Control Office, Management Services Directorate, ODCS, G-2.
- Provides professional and administrative support for the Headquarters, G-2, performing all office management duties jointly and independently, to include functions that enhance administrative, communication, staffing, and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist in the editorial review on correspondence, documents, briefings, and reports developed in the organization, analyzing for correct content, format, and presentation of draft and final documents.
- Review the content of reports and briefings for clarity and whether facts support recommendations and conclusions, verifies the accuracy of statistics and suggests how tabular material can be effectively presented.
- Work closely with action officers to identify the need for clarifying existing or providing additional information and provides individualized guidance on how to produce the necessary revisions, analyses and recommendations.
- Provide writing guidance to advise action officers on how to recognize and correct common errors and weaknesses in writing and briefing preparation.
- Keep up to date on higher headquarters writing style and formats keeping action officers in the G-2 advised.
- Assist in the processing of taskers and other actions in the Task Management Tool (TMT).
- Coordinates, tracks, monitors, and documents all mandatory training for G-2 Military, Civilian.
Requirements:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree or DoD / Army experience.
- Minimum Experience: Eight (8) Years in DoD or U.S. Army. Experience as a staff action officer at the HQDA, OSD, or related DOD Organization / agency.
- Knowledge of DoD and Army writing standards, principles, and concepts; planning, organizing, and executing organizational and directorate objectives.
- Demonstrated advanced organizational, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and collaborative skills.
- Demonstrated ability to break down complex concepts, generate conclusions from disparate information, and succinctly relay key information to leadership.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, concepts, and skills to perform duties independently, using accepted DA publications and policy.
- Demonstrates a high level of expertise in writing, editing, research techniques and methods to prepare authoritative data on the programs, policies and functions of the HQDA DCS G-2.

Salary : $86,900 - $110,000
