Job Summary
Delivery drivers' primary responsibility is to deliver furniture to customers in the designated delivery area. Drivers are expected to check all products for accuracy against quality standards and deliver products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner. Drivers will also be responsible for ensuring that all paperwork is signed correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Safely drive and perform safety inspections on company vehicles
- Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and company policies
- Successfully handling and delivering furniture on time
- Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events/conditions
- Keep up with the pace in a physically demanding work environment; work in all weather conditions; lift furniture (up to 100 lbs); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
- Communicate effectively with the management team to provide exceptional customer service and to ensure deliveries are completed
Skills/Abilities
- Lift a maximum of 100 pounds during an 8 to 10-hour work shift
- Appropriately handle stressful driving demands including inclement weather conditions
- Climb stairs, reach overhead, squat/bend/kneel during an 8 to 10-hour work shift
Education and/or Experience
- CDL class A
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license
- Must pass a Drug Screening
- Have a positive attitude
