Summary of Position
The Process Supervisor is responsible for directly supervising, supporting and ensuring the operations of the ADR and/or crushing and conveying plants are performing in a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant manner. Assists maintenance department on mechanical issues daily or scheduled crusher down days to include, but not limited to jaw crushers and several types of conveyor belting structures. May also be required to assist maintenance in the ADR plant.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for developing departmental procedures. Administer and enforce compliance to company policies including state and federal regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify, eliminate, or mitigate conditions or defects that impact employee safety, environmental compliance, property damage or reliability of equipment.
- Assist with the execution of associated planned/unplanned shutdowns of the plant and/or crusher
- Directly supervise, support, coach, train and professionally develop the process operations crew by providing direction in accordance to Fiore Gold Pan Mine procedures to achieve safe, efficient, and effective results.
- Approve electronic payroll timecards in a timely manner and check for accuracy.
- Responsible to ensure proper records and daily production schedules are conducted and submitted as provided by the Process Manager.
- Conduct individual employee evaluations, monitor employee productively and document and provide constructive feedback, coaching and discipline as needed.
- Monitor equipment and systems to insure proper operation.
- Accountable for the cleanliness surrounding the crusher and process plant operations.
- Effective communication skills, as well as interpersonal, problem solving, basic math skills, ability to inform others using radio communication or other means of communication.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years process crusher operations or loader experience a required with at least two to three years supervisory experience.
- Prior experience in carbon adsorption plants a plus.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, follow instructions and provide feedback required.
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job required.
- Proven experience handling multiple projects as assigned while maintaining production goals.
- Organized with attention detail and ability to recognize concerns or issues related to safety, environmentally and operationally.
- Proven ability to work effectively with others, with an excellent safety and attendance record required.
- Ability to work a rotating day/night 12-hour shift schedule.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When in the field, appropriate hearing protection may be needed.
Safety
Expected to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while in a production environment (Hard Hat, Steel Toed Boots and Reflective Visible Clothing/Vest) or as required for the specific job duty. Must be able to wear a respirator to perform specific job duties by utilizing a ½ or full-face respirator (as needed). Be alert and observe, correct, and report unsafe conditions. Follow operating procedures and comply with all regulatory requirements. Assure that appropriate task training has been completed and documented for all equipment, vehicles, and systems.
