Our Project Coordinators work with our design consultants and third-party workrooms to coordinate customers' specialty orders. We seek detail-oriented individuals to be responsible for the custom labor program and administrative desk. Specifically, this position is responsible for facilitating the smooth flow of all custom product orders by reviewing all finished work orders for completeness and accuracy. In addition to processing orders, this position is also responsible for scheduling installation appointments, processing AR payments, and preparing labor bills for payment.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of home furnishings products including an understanding of fabrics and their functionality as well as product construction, including window coverings, bedding, and upholstered furniture. Design knowledge or experience is helpful. Preference given to those with experience in administrative, and/or fabric construction.
- Ability to communicate fairly and openly. Must project a professional business image through verbal and written communications with customers, associates, workrooms, and installers.
- Ability to accurately figure out basic arithmetic problems, fractions, and decimals. Must be able to calculate yardage and pricing.
- Proficient the following: Microsoft Office, Point of Sale (POS), web-based rendering tools, and other software programs used for quoting and preparing custom orders.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be detailed oriented, demonstrate a proactive approach, work with a strong sense of urgency and be extremely organized. This position requires continuous use of problem-solving skills and the ability to understand the “big picture” in terms of store profitability, productivity, and customer relationships.
- Ability to solve problems in a creative manner. Must demonstrate a passion for helping customers.
- Ability to work a schedule that is subject to change weekly. Willingness to work Saturdays, overtime, promotions, sales, and inventories as scheduled or required.
