PURPOSE
To diagnose and treat all eye and visual problems including vision services (glasses and contacts) and provide treatment and prevention of medical disorders of the eye including surgery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Must be able to perform eye surgery
- Must provide routine care such as vision testing and prescribe and fit eyeglasses or contact lenses
- Must be able to repair traumatic injuries to the eye and perform cataract and corneal surgery
- Must be able to diagnose and treat diseases of the eye, including glaucoma and cataracts; vision problems such as nearsightedness; and eye injuries
- Must be able to link eye problems to other disorders
- Must be willing to travel to a few of our offices
- Must be willing to market to other physicians and community
- Responsible for attending monthly physician meetings
- Must provide high patient satisfaction and care to patients
- Schedules patient appointments to appropriate surgery center, hospital and/or medical location
- Provides physicians and support staff with up-to-date surgery schedules
