Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
Our Retirement Benefit Services Division, Retirement Benefit Processing and Maintenance Unit 411 is seeking one full-time Staff Services Analyst (SSA) to perform a full range of estimate and retirement benefit calculations. Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager I, this position is responsible for addressing service retirement inquiries, completing service retirement estimate requests, and calculating retirement benefits to ensure California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) retirees receive a timely and accurate benefit payment.
The SSA will be responsible for independently researching, analyzing, and completing a full range of benefit related assignments. This includes answering inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders regarding the status of an estimate, retirement date change, option change, beneficiary change, and retirement application cancellations.
COVID-19 Impacts to Working at CalPERS
Positions at CalPERS may be eligible for telework and will require in-person attendance based on operational needs of the position. Telework is working from a remote work site as an alternative to commuting to the primary office location (Sacramento Headquarters) when approved in advance by leadership.
