Job Description and Duties
The Deputy Director, Security/Law Enforcement Division is responsible for overseeing a security division and ensures integrity, honesty, and fairness in the operation and administration of the California State Lottery. In this capacity, you will be responsible for ensuring the qualifications and criminal histories of all prospective and current employees, retailers, and suppliers are reviewed, analyzed, and that recommendations are made to the Lottery Director for administrative actions. In addition, together with other Lottery subject matter experts, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, implementing and maintaining a complex statewide security system to protect the integrity security, honesty and fairness of Lottery games in California.
Prior law enforcement experience, including completion of Peace Officer Standards Training (POST) certification, is required.
Occasional, statewide, overnight travel is required.
