Job Summary
Under direct supervision, the Credential Analyst Trainee will acquire the essential knowledge, skills and abilities to perform work comparable to the work of a Credential Analyst I. The incumbent will be reviewed at 6 months and 12 months to ensure that they are capable of performing at the level of a Credential Analyst I, in addition to being capable of reviewing, analyzing, evaluating and processing applications for teaching, administrative, and specialist credentials, and for the School of Education’s Master’s degree programs.
This is a full-time 12-month temporary position and is eligible for full benefits, including medical, dental, vision and CalPERS retirement.
Department Summary
The School of Education (SOE) offers a variety of post-baccalaureate teaching credentials, an advanced credential, and four master’s degrees. As an interdisciplinary unit, the SOE delivers its programs in partnership with eight departments across three colleges, and nearly 50 school districts and county offices of education in our expanded service area. The SOE also works closely with the other CSM units focused on Teacher Education: Liberal Studies and the Center for Engineering, Science and Mathematics Education.

One year of equivalent training and experience involving academic, administrative, fiscal or statistical record-keeping and processing or course work involving the development of analytical skills.

Anticipated Hiring Range: $47,820 - $52,837 annually
Classification Range: $47,820 - $57,972 annually
