Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental or medical administrative support role and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using dental office systems (e.g., Dentrix, Epic)
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Collect and update patient information, including medical history and insurance details
- Verify insurance coverage and process insurance claims
- Assist with billing and financial transactions
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Follow up with patients regarding treatment plans, appointments, and outstanding balances
Skills:
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar medical administrative support role
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients
- Proficiency in using dental office systems such as Dentrix or Epic
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
