Camargo Pharmaceutical Services is excited to announce that we are now seeking a Business Development Manager to secure new clients and further the company’s growth strategy. The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing relationships with qualified prospect companies and their decision-makers and influencers. The Business Development Manager will identify needs, design and propose effective solutions, and win new business opportunities for Camargo.

What You’ll Do:
As the Business Development Manager, you will introduce Camargo and its solution capabilities resulting in the prospect having increased knowledge of and confidence in Camargo’s expertise and differentiation. You’ll actively present proposals to prospects, identify and overcome objections, and negotiate key terms to advance opportunities. You’ll bridge between business and scientific issues to ensure project opportunities are designed to effectively address critical business, development and regulatory goals. You’ll work cross-functionally with Sales Operations and Finance teams to prepare and price proposals in a timely manner and share learnings with the Marketing team and Development and Regulatory team regarding market segments, buyer personas, and prospect needs to influence solution design and enable successful lead generation. Effective use of CRM is required throughout the business development process to drive personal and team productivity.
Requirements:
- Knowledge and skills at a level normally acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in a scientific field required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in biopharma industry preferred.
- Consultative sales experience with successful track record of performance against quotas and other goals.
- Understanding of the mechanisms and processes of drug development and approval in the United States preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, including with global companies and sponsors.
- Ability to travel 50%, including but not limited to: inter-office travel, conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.
This position can be based in either the Cincinnati or Durham office.
