JOB TITLE: Financial Analyst
SHIFT: 80 Hours Bi-Weekly, 1st Shift
JOB SUMMARY
Financial Analyst, under the supervision of the Controller, is responsible for the compilation and preparation of data for financial analyzation to identify gaps and areas of efficiency and improvement. This position will support both the hospital and physician practices.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting, Clinical, or related field
EXPERIENCE
3 years Finance and/or Business Intelligence experience
EPIC Reporting
Microsoft Office Applications
General Accounting Systems
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Ability to work independently and connect with subject matter experts related to projects.
- Ability to investigate and understand the detail of information.
- Good communication with the ability to lead small group meetings.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
- Compile and analyze financial information with an emphasis on reimbursement for services/service line.
- Development of integrated revenue and expense analyses as well as enhanced reporting and presentation of the data.
- Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Ability to identify trends in data analysis and report key findings to Controller, Director or Executive Leader.
- Access and interpret appropriate financial data for purposes of identifying financial performance improvement opportunities (cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities).
- Produce administrative-level summaries that provide concise information for use in decision making.
- Proven ability to create and maintain dashboards/reports intended to summarize data for multiple audiences.
- Provide recommendations for changes in processes or practices that optimize efficiencies and/or reduces the total cost of delivering health care services.
- Supports the development and analysis of operating and capital budgets.
- Work closely with CMG Director to provide necessary data from physician practices to identify physician office performance and profitability.
- Work closely with Department Directors and Executive Admin Leaders to be the point person for data and reporting needs for service line development and reimbursement questions.
