Salary Range: $26.44 - $28.85 hourly DOEE Full Benefits Package
This role has the option to be 50% remote.

Position Description:Under supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the AP Specialist is responsible for the full cycle Accounts Payable function, including cost accounting, auditing expenses; maintaining accounting records, and providing support relating to day-to-day operations.
- Responsible for high volume, full cycle Accounts Payable processing.
- Open, review, sort, scan, and obtain approvals on all new A/P invoices and check requests.
- Process weekly payment run.
- Audit all entries for coding and proper authorization level in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Enter all vouchers into MIP Accounting system and prepare batch entry reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain A/P system records including but not limited to collection of W9’s, assignment of payment terms, and vendor information.
- Prepare and distribute Form 1099, 1098, 1096 and other related tax forms.
- Audit employee expenses to ensure compliance with corporate policy before paying. Process expense reports and reimbursements for employees and petty cash.
- Respond to all inquiries in a professional and prompt manner. Keep the Accounts Payable Supervisor informed of important issues and critical situations.
- Proactively resolve issues with vendors pertaining to Accounts Payable.
- Assist with annual audits by providing proper backups.
- Participate in promoting a safe, healthy and clean working environment at all times consistent with applicable laws, industry standards and the agency’s own Health & Safety Program.
- Perform other related duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned by AP supervisor or Director of Finance and Accounting.
- Must be passionate about Caminar's mission.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution strongly preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience with Accounts payable function preferred. .
- Ability to work independently in fast paced, high-volume, complex and dynamic environment.
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including email and Internet navigation required. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, a professional demeanor and to represent the organization in a positive manner at all times.
