Summary:
A Campus Manager is an individual with a passion for connecting and building people up, and serve in a hands-on position responsible for recruiting qualified summer staff for all necessary Summer Staff positions at Camp Cho-Yeh. This role provides the opportunity to develop and execute creative staff recruiting and retention strategies that are critical to mission success and future growth of the organization. This position will have responsibility over active recruitment of all summer positions, college campus presence, hiring and interviewing of qualified applicants, and other methods as determined by the recruiting team.
Essential Job Functions:
Campus Recruiting
- Oversee event calendar for all colleges where Cho-Yeh has summer staff as active students (Texas and National).
- Manage Part-Time Campus Recruiters and Full-Time Staff Recruiters.
- Seek out, connect, and attend camp fairs and career fairs at corresponding colleges.
- Schedule and manage recruiting booth days at corresponding colleges.
- Connect with past summer staff to find connections with ministries and friends who are interested in camp.
- Make informed decisions on candidate selection, considering their alignment with our Christian values, qualifications, experience, and potential impact on campers.
- Collaborate with the camp's leadership team and other departments to ensure alignment with the Camp Cho-Yeh mission and vision throughout the recruitment process.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of recruitment activities, candidate information, and other relevant data using appropriate systems or tools.
Digital Recruiting

Coordinate with Digital Manager in the delegation of campus lead management

Ensure accurate and detailed record-keeping of candidate information for reporting and compliance purposes.
Staff Hiring

Application Screening: Review and evaluate applications and resumes to identify candidates with the necessary skills, experience, and alignment with our Christian principles to work at Camp Cho-Yeh.

Interviewing: Conduct thorough interviews, either in-person or through video conferencing, to assess candidates' spiritual maturity, character, skills, and suitability for camp positions.

Onboarding: Assist in the onboarding process for selected candidates, ensuring they understand and embrace the camp's Christian mission and values.

Relationship Building: Foster and maintain positive relationships with potential candidates, Christian organizations, churches, and other relevant networks to enhance recruitment efforts.

Perform other duties as assigned or reassigned.

Ability to work/reside in the Camp Cho-Yeh’s vicinity year round and occasionally travel for training or networking.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TRAVEL
This job involves frequent travel to various locations, allowing for a dynamic and ever-changing work environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to work within a shared and open office space. Limited availability to work remotely. At times expected to work off site when on work trips.
