What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Summer Camp Nurse position at Camp East Woods?
Camp East Woods is a 6-week day camp located in Oyster Bay, New York serving campers ages 2-14. We are currently seeking a part time camp nurse for 2-days per week over the course of the program (June 26-August 4th). Days may be flexible.
The nurses main responsibilties include, but is not limited to:
- Medication management, safeguarding and distribution
- Performing first aid
- Maintaining medical documentation and health records
- Completes accident and incident report forms
- Communicates with campers families/parents (and appropriate staff) any health issues with their camper via phone/email
- Informs camp staff of any individual needs of campers in their groups
- Informs kitchen staff of any invidividual needs of campers
- Provides supervision for ill/injured campers and or staff members at the health center
- Maintains first aid kits and medical supplies
Tuition remission for any children of hired staff is offered at 100%.
