Director of Operations
POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversee daily functions with a strong focus on programming, provides supervision and leadership to Program staff, maintenance/housekeeping and business operations. Participate in volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies. Position reports to the Executive Director.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in staff development, budget accountability, program development, community involvement, and retention as well as being a people oriented individual with a focus on constantly improving the operational soundness of Camp Fire North
Shore operations and business. Preferred candidate should have experience working in diverse populations and general operations, including facilities. Candidate must possess the ability to multi-task in an extremely fast paced, ever changing, demanding environment. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establish with the leadership team, long range plans for programs and services, while keeping in mind main objectives.
2. Provide staff support and development.
3. Represent and promote Camp Fire North Shore in the local community and develop positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies.
4. Develop, manage and monitor assigned operating budgets to meet or exceed targets.
5. Recommend adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and submit reports on current operations.
6. Engage in active listening with members in order to build relationships, understand individual's goals and interests and take the initiative to assist in the achievement of those goals.
7. Ensure the cleanliness, safety and operational condition of facilities, equipment and grounds of the organization to assure high standards and compliance.
8. Serve as a member of management team and support the overall objectives of the organization.
9. Ensure growth in enrollment in all programs.
10. Maintain a professional image and manner consistent with the Camp Fire North Shore’s mission.
11. Participate in Strategic Planning Process.
12. Provide direct support to the Executive Director.
13. Attend and participate in Board of Directors meetings.
14. Oversee license process of all programs and facilities.
15. Communicate with Finance department regularly regarding any vendor management issues or changes.
16) Recommend, create, and update policies and procedures consistent with local and state licensing and compliance.
17) Monitor and ensure our affiliate mission, goals and strategies align with National
Headquarters.
REQUIREMENTS:
1) Bachelor’s degree
2) 3 to 5 years of management experience
3) Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
4) Ability to multi-task while being able to meet deadlines
5) Experience in assessing difficult situations and react with appropriate resolutions
6) Able to prioritize effectively
7) Operational management and oversight
8) Financial acumen including budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting
9) Facilities and vendor management
10). Strong writing and verbal communication
11) Participation in a strategic planning process and implementation

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually
