Spend an incredible summer working with kids at Camp Zeke! Camp Zeke celebrates healthy, active living through whole foods, sports, fitness and culinary arts! located on 560 serene acres in Northeastern, PA and have campers ages 7-17.
Dates: June 19- August 8th. (Some flexibility with the start date)
Your role as a dining room assistant is significant, as food is a very important focus of our camp program. As a dining room assistant, you will be responsible for setting up, stocking buffets and clearing an assigned section of the dining room each meal. You will come to know our campers over the course of their stay and will learn to quickly recognize their tastes and preferences. At all times you are expected to remain polite, courteous, and attentive. A smile and caring attitude goes a long way toward keeping our campers happy. Our kitchen is Kosher and all rules pertaining to this will be fully explained during orientation.
Dining Room Assistant Responsibilities:
Work under the supervision of the dining room manager. Ensure that the meals are presented beautifully and artfully, the way they would be at a gourmet restaurant.Assist with distributing snacks to our campers and staff under the direction of the snack chef.
Assist with setting up buffets as designated on the menu - both prior to the meal and restock during the meal. At the conclusion of the meal, you are responsible for bussing the dirty dishes.At the meal’s conclusion, clean and dry tables, chairs, salad bars buffet tables and chafing dishes and serving trays and areas.
Dining Room Assistant requirements: Prior experience working in food service is preferred. Must be available to live onsite at our 560 acre campsite in PA for the duration of the contract.
