Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing support in various legal matters. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research using resources such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Assist with case management, including organizing files and maintaining documentation
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and arguments
- Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Utah State Bar Association
- Minimum 1 year experience in family law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including document management and case organization
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with legal research platforms such as Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis
- Demonstrated ability to draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and briefs
- Litigation experience is preferred but not required
