General Summary:


The Demand Planning Analyst identifies, creates, reviews, publishes, automates, and refines the demand analytical reports and tools across Campbells Snacks to deliver high-quality insights to ensure the right product, at the right place, at the right time.  In addition, the team maintains strong data integrity as well as directly manage forecasts for key cross divisional areas such as (but not limited to) pallets and shippers and defined channel segments.  This role will work with demand planners, other supply chain functions, and key cross-functional partners such as IT, sales, master data, and finance.  The duties include but are not limited to aligning reports & tools to demand planning executional best practices; transform data into relevant inputs for demand planning team and related departments; and playing a key role to develop and execute the strategic direction for objectives in improving forecast accuracy and bias along with other business priorities.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • 25%– Develops, elevates, and publishes reports for the entire Demand Planning organization. This includes but is not limited to sales history, statistical forecasts and sales forecasts across all hierarchical areas and levels of the business (product, customer, distribution) as well as adapting reports to organizational changes.  She/he ensures that reports are purposeful, clear, straightforward, and align with processes and systems.
  • 20%– Plays a key role with IT in supporting demand team including testing and ensuring enhancements and processes do not compromise data integrity and capability.
  • 20%–  Oversees segmented demand planning responsibilities primarily in cross divisional areas including but not limited to EAD (end aisle display), key channels (such as international), and other limited Brand areas.
  • 10%– Maintains superior data quality by ensuring that data sources (Sales, IT, Master Data, and Financial systems) are under control and in a continuous improvement stage. Ensures that planning software interfaces and parameters maintenance have been documented and reasonable processes developed. Administers appropriate product, customer, and location hierarchy as well as other forecasting model parameters.
  • 5%– Contributes to the forecast development process through identification of data, reporting or analytics improvement opportunities along with evaluating demand assumptions for the improvement of future demand assumptions as well as adapts processes to business needs and drives continuous improvements including but not limited to: statistical modeling, demand sensing, and network optimization efforts.
  • 5%– Harmonizes the resolution of challenges related to cross functional discrepancies and plays a leadership role in ensuring that “lessons learned” and process enhancements reduce challenges.   He/she needs to ensure the situations are reviewed, resolved, and communicated with key functional areas.
  • 5%– Ad-hoc Report creation and support systems & processes for broader needs for such as other areas of supply chain management and IBP support.
  • 5%– Assists in updating monthly materials for presentation focused on communicating changes in demand to the broader organization.
  • 5%– Oversee the process documentation for Demand Planning KPI and Reports.

Job Complexity/Scope:

  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, basic working knowledge of Power Queries.  Advanced working knowledge of Power BI is a plus.  Working knowledge of SAP/ APO is a plus.
  • Broad understanding of demand planning processes and needs.
  • Experience with forecasting software is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and handle large amounts of data via Excel, Power Query or Power BI.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make value-added recommendations.
  • Ability to overcome information gaps and analytical obstacles to complete analyses on time.

Job Specifications:

  • Years of relevant experience: 2 years of experience in Demand Planning or similar function expressing strong critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Advanced proficiency in excel.
  • Preferred: proficient in Power BI/Power Query
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn and adapt is imperative.

  • SAP APO, or other Supply Chain planning software experience preferred.

  • Mixed in office/remote
  • Occasional travel required
