Job Summary: The Office Coordinator is a working supervisor within a small practice and balances his/her time performing a variety of supervisory and clerical duties necessary to the daily operation of the practice. The Office Coordinator ensures the highest level of customer service is provided to patients. With full knowledge of office operations and strong problem solving skills, s/he fills in where needed, manages employee performance and discipline, monitors performance metrics for the practice, leads process improvement initiatives, and resolves any problems/questions/concerns from patients. The Office Coordinator is a member of the management team, attends management meetings, and works with Physician(s) and Administration to ensure the strategic goals of the practice are met. Education: 1. High school diploma or GED 2. Clinical licensure/certification preferred, but not required. Experience: 3. Two years of previous experience in the medical field. 4. Basic knowledge of the use and operation of general office equipment (computer, phone, copier, fax). 5. Working with the public in a courteous and professional manner. Skills: 6. Ability to maintain a positive attitude and provide great customer service under stressful situations. 7. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and pleasant manner in both verbal and written form. 8. Ability to multi-task. 9. Ability to adapt quickly to change. 10. Ability to work both independently and with co-workers. 11. Ability to use and manage time efficiently. 12. Ability to follow the direction of supervisory personnel. |
