What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Doctor position at CannaMD?
CannaMD is one of the fastest growing networks of medical marijuana physicians in Florida. With statewide locations, CannaMD prides itself on providing compassionate care to Florida patients through evidence-based application of medical cannabis research.
We are currently looking for a personable, tech-savvy physician to oversee several of our offices part time to include: Orlando, Clearwater, Tallahassee, The Villages, Cape Coral & West Palm Beach. We’ve already established a strong area presence in these markets, and look forward to entrusting the right candidate with a sizable, already established patient-base preferred.
1-2 days per week to start, can grow to 4-5 days per week if candidate prefers.
In accordance with state law, all CannaMD physicians must hold an active, unrestricted license as either an allopathic physician or osteopathic physician and be in compliance with all state-mandated education requirements. At this time, educational requirements include completing an annual course and exam administered by either the Florida Medical Association or Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
Also in line with Senate Bill 8A, CannaMD physicians may not be employed by, or have any direct or indirect economic interest in, any medical marijuana treatment centers or marijuana testing laboratories.
CannaMD may, at its discretion, provide industry training and/or reimbursement for state-required licensure, fees, and courses.
