Premier, North Oregon Coast bakery is seeking an experienced cake artist to join our team. Looking for a positive work environment where you can utilize your decorating skills on special occasion cakes and desserts? This is a part time or a full-time position for the right candidate.
Basic Job Duties:
- Take Cake Orders
- Interpret and execute written cake orders
- Work with bakery owner to arrive at final design for wedding and special occasion cakes
- Design and decorate cakes according to specifications
- Assist bake staff manager with production/decoration of standard bakery items, as needed
- Produce different kinds of icing, frosting, and cake fillings based on cake type to bakery standards
- Ensure work areas and equipment are clean, sanitized and ready for next shift use
- Assist bake staff with various tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven baking and decorating experience
- Team and customer service oriented
- Thorough knowledge and ability to make various types of icing, glaze, fillings and decorations
- Understanding of color theory, how to mix color and arrive at desired color result
- Artistic/Creative ability
- Ability to effectively utilize various cake decorating instruments and tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Detail oriented
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on occasion
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Pay range determined based on experience
Must be a team player and have reliable transportation.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
