ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for someone to work with internal and external clients to design easy-to-use mobile and web applications. This will include user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. You will need experience with design software and wireframe tools, as well as experience with the User Experience design process. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, affinity diagrams, empathy maps, persona mapping, sitemaps, and other UX design tools
- Design graphic user interface elements and build page navigation that meets the needs of the user personas
- Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate the look and feel of the app and how it will function
- Create complex high-fidelity and low-fidelity wireframes
- Create data visualizations with advice on how to program this into an application
- Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
- Mastery of an iterative and agile design process
- Create and maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the product's interface.
- Utilizing user testing techniques to test out the viability of the designs
- Acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems like responsiveness
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
- May perform other duties as required
- Travel as needed
ABOUT YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors in computer science, UI/UX design or related degree required
- UI/UX design certifications a plus
- Min 5 years of work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
- A strong portfolio showcasing examples of problem solving and applying user-centered design principles: concept sketches, user stories, interaction flows, prototypes, design specifications for development, and UI mockups for desktop and mobile
- Knowledge of wireframing tools (e.g. Figma, AdobeXD)
- Experience creating complex high fidelity and low fidelity wireframes
- Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe XD, Sketch, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Strong attention to detail with ability to see the bigger picture
- Strong communication and presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in human-computer interaction
- Experience with product Inclusivity and Accessibility
- Experience researching and/or designing for a wide range of users and abilities

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $130,000 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the anticipated salary range for the position. Employees may be eligible for discretionary bonuses. We offer a full benefit package including medical, dental and vision coverage and flexible spending account options and voluntary insurances.
