Description
The Event & Video Technology Coordinator is a member of the technology team for the school. This position aids faculty, staff and others in facilitating events requiring professional live sound, lighting, and projection equipment for, but not limited to theatrical performances, athletic contests, formal community presentations/meetings, etc…In addition, this person will be responsible for maintaining all professional live sound, projection and lighting equipment. This position often requires evening and weekend work to support school events, both on and off-site. The Event Technology Coordinator reports to the Manager of Event Technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Set up, operate or support, and break down sound, projection and lighting systems as needed for all school programs, theatrical shows, classes, athletic and other special events as requested by the faculty, staff and parent organizations.

Setup, operate and maintain live streaming equipment for events, meetings and classes.

Set up, film and produce video productions for certain special events throughout the year (special concerts, honors ceremonies, etc…).

Set up, film and produce webcasts for certain special presentations throughout the year (State of School, graduation, etc…). In addition, this individual will provide support to the School’s Athletic broadcasting service (CSPN).

Maintain an inventory for all mobile sound, lighting and projection equipment, updating condition, maintenance record and location in inventory database. Recommend replacement of equipment near the end of its useful life and develop a replacement schedule to upgrade the equipment on a regular basis.

Troubleshoot problems with equipment and perform needed repairs or arrange for needed repairs in a timely manner, and arrange for replacement equipment if any equipment will be out of service for an extended period of time.

Keep up with the literature on equipment; research and recommend new equipment.

Be a resource to faculty and students in production of audiovisual materials. Maintain supplies and equipment for production of materials and duplication services.

Attend tech team department meetings and other meetings as required.

Notify supervisor if duties require off campus trips.

Be aware of copyright law as it pertains to the provisions of duplicated materials. Promote awareness of copyright to faculty and students, particularly as it pertains to film duplication and distribution.

Qualifications
College or technical degree preferred; high school diploma required
3+ years of previous experience preferred
