The Human Resources Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department for their given region. The incumbent manages the administration of the human resources policies, procedures, and programs. The incumbent carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: associate relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment.
Responsibilities
• Enhance human resources practices and objectives that will provide an associate oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing organizational development.• Support organizational development and administration of personnel programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.• Assists managers and supervisors with associate relations issues, ensuring managers follow progressive discipline procedures.• Ensure planning, monitoring, an appraisal of associate work results by training managers to coach and discipline associates; Scheduling management conferences with associates; Hearing and resolving associate grievances; counseling associates and supervisors.• Maintain and inform associates of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; assist associates with benefit related questions; supporting open enrollment initiatives.• Manages the on-boarding process and collaborates with other disciplines within the organization to secure an effective, efficient process that ensures best practices from a candidate/on-boarding perspective.• Facilitates training sessions for managers on recruitment laws, policies, and practices including effective search processes, interview and selection techniques, and facilitating positive candidate experiences.• Responsible for supporting leadership with performance management initiatives, including evaluation of associates (90-day evaluation & annual performance appraisals)• Evaluate reports, decisions, and results of Department initiatives in relation to the established goals.• Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.• Assistant preparing and delivering associate communications.• Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company.• Assists the HRIS/Payroll manager to maintain the payroll database.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’ Degree in Human Resources or related business field• 5 years’ experience in a human resources position• Professional HR or SHRM certification highly desired• Healthcare and/or hospital experience preferred• Fluent in English and Spanish
