Shipping & Receiving Coordinator I

Overview

Under general supervision, is responsible for picking, packing and shipping of all inbound and outbound shipments along with the duties associated with shipment preparation. The incumbent prepares bills of lading for freight carriers, assists in loading trucks and obtains signatures on shipments. Responsible for counting & recording material to ensure accuracy of shipment and receipt; performs related duties as required

Responsibilities

• Receiving from all carriers
• Loading and offloading parcels and packages from pallets
• Operate a pallet jack to relocate palletized shipments for staging
• Experience using SGLogic software for internal tracking
• Ability to operate a high -profile company vehicle to deliver packages across Bay Area offices from central hub.  Driving of a company vehicle is required.
• Minimal customer interfacing during direct deliveries
• Ability to report and maintain company internal tracking software
• Comfortable cross training on multiple delivery routes throughout the Bay Area
• Ensure incoming and outgoing shipments meet packaging, customer, and quality standards
• Driving company vehicle throughout San Francisco Bay area and amongst Meta campus locations

May perform any of the following functions at the direction of the Warehouse Manager:

• Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Fills requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes accordingly.
• Posts weights and shipping charges and affixes postage.
• Marks materials with identifying information.
• Must be forklift certified and be able to use hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area

Salary Range: $21.47/hour - $23.47/hour

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or equivalent       
• Entry level
• Excellent customer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must
• Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Physical activity required including bending, reaching, lifting and prolonged periods of sitting or standing
• May lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
