What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Systems Technician I position at Canon Careers?
In this key role, you will implement and operate in accordance with quality requirements. Identify and prevent non-conforming product and directs the activities to improve quality and prevent reoccurrence of problems.
- Performs and tracks process audits regarding equipment, personnel, and/or parts quality. Documents findings for management review. Monitors and tracks any corrective actions/counter measures.
- Monitors and collects data (CPK data, IFC, AQL, etc.) received from equipment/process/personnel to identify potential quality defects. Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment errors or patterns creating out of specification parts/products.
- Supports food safety and quality operations management throughout the entire process flow of production.
- Ensures quality standards during pre-operational and operational inspections in accordance with FDA and third party certification standards.
- Assists with collecting and processing in process and finished goods samples, analyzing and complying data associated with samples.
- Communicates any issues affecting food safety, the quality of the product and/or corrective actions needed to appropriate personnel.
- Associate’s Degree preferred; or equivalent combination education and experience, and 2-5 years’ experience in a quality/manufacturing environment.
- Two years’ experience in food-manufacturing environment preferred.
- HACCP and/or PCQI certification preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office,
- Basic knowledge of Oracle or related EAP system.
- Strong analytical skills are a plus.
- Knowledge of statistics including the use of statistics analysis software preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
