Overview
Canon U.S.A., Inc. is currently seeking a Data Security Analyst (Analyst, Data Security) to join the Melville, NY Headquarters. Within the Vendor Risk and Data Security Office of Canon Americas, this position will be responsible for specifically addressing issues associated with Vendor risk. In this regard, this position is responsible for assisting with the rollout of a data retention program. This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.Responsibilities
- Work with the manager of the department to determine key risks as they affect Canon’s sharing of data with vendors - Work with the manager of the department to provide response to questionnaires from customers regarding the security posture of Canon - Produce compelling and creative presentations for Executive viewing - Good knowledge of current technologies - Experience in leading projects end to end - Establish the Canon Americas baseline standards for information security and privacy and coordinate cross-divisional efforts to reduce risks associated with the loss, corruption or unauthorized disclosure of confidential or private information - Provide presentations on topics related to Information Security and risks - Provide creative ways to automate redundant tasks or processes - Identify vendor risks and provide recommendation for mitigation of those risks - Serve as a technical liaison between departments ensuring business objectives are clearly understoodQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience - Must have project management leadership abilities and be able to communicate and interact well at all levels of the organization - Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, SharePoint (a plus), tableau (a plus) - Can adapt to a fast-paced environment - Enjoys working with different business partners - Must have a creative and resourceful nature to solve problems - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal - Must be detail oriented - Self Starter - Data analytics a plus - Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese a plus The company will not pursue or support visa sponsorship for this position.
