Job Purpose
A Maintenance Group Leader is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair and upkeep operations of an organization's facilities and shops (Paint, BIW, General Assembly). Maintenance Group Leaders ensure that their team members have the best physical resources available to complete their duties according to the allotted budget. Additionally, a Maintenance Group Leader will have a solid understanding of plumbing and electrical systems as well as carpentry and other crafts. Maintenance managers work in a variety of industries including manufacturing, electrical plants and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities (80s Of The Position)
While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting to 25 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.
Physical Requirements For Physical Positions
While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to lift up to 25 or more pounds, stand, sit, bend/stoop, or operate office equipment or machinery

Responsibilities (80s Of The Position)
- Allocate workload and supervise the maintenance team.
- Manage relationships with contractors with service providers.
- Maintain production and facility equipment and place equipment
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality.
- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
- Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and provide proactive support when needed.
- Set up and maintain spare parts, OPLs (One Point Lessons) and SMPs (Standard Maintenance Procedures).
- 10 years’ experience in maintenance management role.
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to keep track of and report on activity.
- Experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff members.
- Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making.
- Strong computer/presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of robotic systems.
- Automotive experience preferred
- Knowledge of Maintenance software, such as Maximo, SAP, etc.
- Predictive maintenance.
- Wastewater Systems
- Sealing Systems
- Paint Process
- Welding Technologies
- Travel to support the business as required.
