The Embedded Systems Engineer will be responsible for learning cashless payment devices and infrastructure every day! You will have the opportunity to be creative and hands on daily, working with devices, vendors, and teams globally to implement our newest features in both firmware and hardware. The candidate will be challenged to “think outside the box” to solve complex cross-disciplinary challenges with the chance to help make a significant impact to our organization. This role can be in Malvern PA, or Atlanta GA, and will report to the Director of Engineering for Embedded Systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research assignments for technical details, business goals, risks, and success criteria
- Solve technical problems, whether software or hardware related
- Develop and maintain software for use in embedded devices
- Promote quality in all work, including verification of own work before publishing to others
- Develop operating procedures to support engineering excellence
- Collaborate with contractors, managers, and Product Owners
- Document proposals, solutions, and work done
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with C and/or C (embedded) for ARM and ARM Cortex controllers and processors
- Foundational understanding of real-time operating systems
- Ability to read hardware diagrams and use electronic lab instruments
- Ability to drive results and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired
- Passion for solving problems (large and small)
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
