Job Summary
This individual will be involved in the preparation of monthly financial statements, general ledger account reconciliations and data analysis. Provides leadership and direction to the team regarding Microsoft Dynamics (GP). Works closely with division and operation managers. Ability to work closely with team in budgeting, cost controls and month end reporting is critical.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares multiple financial statements and operation reports summarizing division activity, ensuring they are prepared in an accurate, complete and timely manner
- Prepares and enters journal entries
- Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly
- Ensures accounting conforms to generally accepted accounting principles
- Completes bank reconciliations
- Provides financial support and guidance to operations
- Provides reporting to assist in P&L review, forecasting, and budgeting
- Assists Sector Finance team with keeping operations focused on optimization of working capital
- Assists in training and development of all accounting and clerical staff within the District
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at a minimum
Skills and Experience:
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience (including revenue control, financial reporting, cash handling, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge in Excel, problem solving and analytical skills required
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written
- Proven ability to move projects forward
- Supervisory experience required and Microsoft Dynamics (GP) experience a plus
- Multi-location/entity experience is a plus
