Position Summary
The Assembler is responsible for maintaining production of light products to meet build schedule requirements.
Shifts : 7 : 00am-4 : 30pm Monday-Thursday and 7 : 00am-11 : 00am Friday

Duties
- Ability to assemble based on knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area.
- Use and understand torque wrenches and test equipment and trouble shoot.
- Maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies by utilizing a traveler, blueprint and standard work.
- Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating).
- Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits.
- Apply 5S tools to include the T-card system.
Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office, and Shop Floor Control
- Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory.
- Ability to read blueprints, knowledge of schematics
- Experience using torque wrenches and test equipment and related troubleshooting.
- Ability to make decisions and stay quality focused
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral.
- Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements.
- Proven teamwork experience.
- Ability to work overtime, if required.
- Knowledge, understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Kanban Inventory.
Preferred Experience
- Prior AS400 experience preferred
- Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies desired.
