Job Description:
Cantina Pedregal is seeking an imaginative and passionate Bar Director to lead our Mexican Craft Cocktail program. We're on a mission to redefine the cocktail experience by infusing it with the bold and dynamic flavors of Mexico. As the Bar Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting a beverage program that showcases the richness and diversity of Mexican culture while delivering exceptional service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a cutting-edge Mexican Craft Cocktail menu that celebrates the vibrant flavors and ingredients of Mexico, from smoky mezcal concoctions to refreshing aguas frescas-inspired cocktails.
- Collaborate closely with our culinary team to source authentic Mexican ingredients and artisanal spirits, ensuring that each cocktail reflects the essence of Mexican cuisine.
- Lead and inspire our team of bartenders, providing mentorship and training in mixology techniques, flavor pairings, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality across the board.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and innovation, encouraging our staff to push the boundaries of traditional mixology and develop their own signature creations.
- Oversee all aspects of bar operations, including inventory management, ordering, and cost control, while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging techniques in mixology, continually seeking new inspiration and incorporating fresh ideas into our cocktail program.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Cantina Pedregal, engaging with guests to share your passion for Mexican cocktails and providing personalized recommendations based on their preferences.
- Collaborate with our marketing team to promote our Mexican Craft Cocktail program through social media, special events, and partnerships with local artisans and distilleries.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a bartending or bar management role, preferably with a focus on craft cocktails and Mexican cuisine.
- Extensive knowledge of Mexican spirits, ingredients, and flavor profiles, with a demonstrated ability to create innovative and balanced cocktails that capture the essence of Mexican culture.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software.
- California RBS (TiPS) certification
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
