What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian position at Cape Cod Collaborative?
The Cape Cod Collaborative has an immediate opening for a part-time custodian. Hours are generally 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Must be able to pass CORI and CHRI background checks. Pay rate dependent upon experience.Job Goal:To maintain the physical school buildings and grounds in condition of operating excellence so that full educational and community use of them may be made at all times. Qualifications:
- Ability to understand and implement good building cleaning practices
- Ability to work cooperatively with staff, students, and the general public
- Ability to move, lift, and stack school custodial supplies as well as chairs, tables, desks and other school furniture (minimum weight 50 lbs.)
- Ability to perform outdoor tasks such as window washing and snow shoveling
- Works under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor
- Performs all custodial cleaning duties such as emptying trash, cleaning rest rooms, stripping / waxing floors, mopping, and vacuuming, as assigned
- Checks building security at the end of shift
- May be required to work additional hours during school vacations or when conditions warrant
- Is courteous to other staff, students, and general public
- Handles other duties as assigned
